The East Texas Company is a family business that has been managing mineral and land rights since 1920. The company was formed when Marcus A. Pharr Jr, Fielding H. Ficklen, and Fred T. Wilson consolidated their holdings into a Trust. They leased the mineral rights to finance the purchase of additional properties. Pharr died in 1950, and in 1970 the Trust was converted to a Georgia Corporation. Over the years, much of the land was sold to avoid property taxes holding on to the mineral rights.
ETC currently owns approximately 1732 mineral acres in 14 Texas Counties, including Angelina, Culberson, Johnson, Liberty, Loving, Nacogdoches, Panola, Polk, Shelby, Tyler, Upsher, Ward, Wilson, and Wise. We also own 80 acres of land in Loving County and 160 acres of land in Culberson County.
We are always looking to build our portfolio or partner with other land /mineral owners to produce these holdings. If you have property or mineral rights in these areas, we would love to talk with you.
